Is the reservation mandatory?

How do we get our tickets back?
After your purchase, your tickets are sent directly to your mailbox used to make the purchase. Remember to check your junk mail!
Why is only my name on all the tickets?
The tickets, sent by e-mail, are edited according to the name of the person who made the purchase. So there’s no concern if the people who are with you have a different name.
Can I book my tickets online and pay them on site?
Any reservation must be validated by a regulation on the website. There are different ways to make your purchase: CB and e-connect check.
Can I pay with holiday cheques?
You can pay online with E Connect ANCV cheques. Paper holiday vouchers can only be used on site, at the ticket office.
What are the contraband?
Aerosols of all types (for water aerosols, please note that you will be asked to test them in front of the officer in charge), bags and suitcases of more than 15 litres, any dangerous object (cutter, knife, gas bottle, etc.).
Can I bring my pet?
All pets are prohibited on the site except guide dogs for the blind.
What is the difference between Lascaux IV and Lascaux II?
Lascaux IV, Centre International de l'Art Pariétal, is the complete reproduction of the original cave. You will discover the complete replica but also the International Centre which will allow you to learn more about painting techniques, the preservation of Lascaux l'Originale, the link between Parietal Art and Contemporary Art, etc.
Opened in 1983, the facsimile «Lascaux II» is the first reproduction in the world and reproduces life-size and in three dimensions the most spectacular part of Lascaux: the Hall of the Bulls and the Diverticule Axial containing 90% of the paintings of the cave. The facsimile takes place inside a huge concrete blockhouse, buried in the woods two hundred meters from the original cave, you will leave for a traditional cave tour.
Are my tickets valid all day?
No, because the bills are time-stamped. We therefore ask you to respect their day and time.
If a scenographic space (outside the cave) is closed, does this result in a discount on the price of my ticket?
No, a room closure (technical problem, maintenance, etc.) does not result in any reduction. In all cases, the itinerary remains guided and of the same duration therefore without affecting the quality of the visit proposed.
Is it possible to visit Lascaux IV freely?
The visit is obligatorily in the presence of one of our cultural mediators during 1h30.
How long is the visit?
The tour lasts 1h30. Due to COVID-19, the tour route is currently and until further notice being redesigned. The resulting sanitary conditions imposed the temporary closure of the theatre and cinema to the public.
How long do I have to arrive in advance?
If you have previously purchased your ticket online, you are asked to arrive at least 20 minutes in advance. If not, allow sufficient time for your on-site purchase and Health Pass control.
Can I eat on the spot?
Yes, a dining area is available on site: Le Café Lascaux. There is no picnic furniture on site. Food and beverages are prohibited in the building.
What is the temperature within the reproduction?
The temperature is 13°C in the cave and part of the visit is outside. Plan a little wool!
Can I take pictures in the reproduction?
It is forbidden to take pictures in the facsimile. However, you will be free to take your pictures in the Lascaux workshop or outside.
Can we have a visit with a baby?
Yes, however, strollers are prohibited.
Do you have car parks nearby? Do they pay?
You can park for free in the P1 and P2 car parks.
I am a person with reduced mobility, can I visit?
Yes, the visit route of Lascaux IV is entirely designed and adapted to people with reduced mobility or difficulty walking.
Are there parking spaces for people with reduced mobility?
Yes, we have dedicated parking spaces on the P1 car park.
Can I park my motorhomes?
The P2 car park is specifically dedicated to the reception of motorhomes. Attention, the P1 car park is only reserved for buses.
Are there electric car terminals?
Lascaux is committed to limiting its ecological impact and offers its visitors important guarantees such as charging stations for electric cars. You will find them in the P2 car park.
