What objects are prohibited ?
- Aerosols of all types (for water-based aerosols, please note that you will be asked to test them in front of the officer on duty). - Backpacks + bags and suitcases. - Baby Pushchairs. - And any dangerous objects (cutters, knives, gas cylinders, etc.).
Can I visit with a baby ?
Yes, but baby pushchairs are not allowed.
What is the baby-switch ?
This is the procedure put in place to facilitate visits by families with a baby. If the child needs to go out, only one parent will accompany him or her, with the rest of the family remaining for the visit. The parent who has missed part of the visit can then ask reception to apply the baby switch, which will allow him or her to join another visit.
What is the temperature inside the reproduction ?
The temperature in the cave is 13°C and part of the tour is outdoors. Make sure you bring something to wear.
Can I take photos in Lascaux IV ?
It is forbidden to take photographs in the replica. However, you are free to take photographs in the Workshop or in the other areas.
Can I bring my pet ?
Pets are not allowed on the site, with the exception of guide dogs.
Why is there only my name on all the tickets?
The tickets, sent by email, are edited according to the name of the person who made the purchase. So there is no need to worry if the people accompanying you have a different name.
Is it free for children?
Access to Lascaux IV is free for children under 5 years old. Children benefiting from free admission must nevertheless reserve a time slot on the online ticket office. Note that children under 5 years old do not have access to the audio receiver during the guided tour. To benefit from it, this involves purchasing a ticket. Certain people also benefit from the reduced rate, sold only on site, at reception (students, job seekers, large family card, Crédit Agricole members (member mention on the credit card).
If a scenographic area (except the cave) is closed, does this result in a reduction on the price of my ticket?
No, a room closure (technical problem, maintenance, etc.) does not entitle you to any reduction. In all cases, the route remains guided and of the same duration, therefore without impact on the quality of the visit offered.
I am a person with reduced mobility, can I visit?
Yes, the Lascaux IV tour route is entirely designed and adapted for people with reduced mobility or walking difficulties.
How far in advance should I arrive?
If you have previously purchased your ticket online, you are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes in advance.
How do we collect our tickets?
After your purchase, your tickets are sent directly to the mailbox used to make the purchase. Remember to check your junk mail!
Do you have parking lots nearby? Are they paid?
You can park for free in car parks P1 and P2.
Can I pay with holiday vouchers?
You can pay online using E Connect ANCV checks. Paper holiday vouchers can only be used on site, at the ticket office.
Can I book my tickets online and pay for them on site?
All reservations must be validated by payment on the website. Different means are available to you to make your purchase: credit card and e-connect check.
Are there parking spaces for people with reduced mobility?
Yes, we have spaces provided for this purpose in parking lot P1. Add in the question “Can we visit with a baby” put “however strollers and baby carriers are prohibited”
Are my tickets valid all day?
No, because the tickets are time stamped. We therefore ask you to respect the day and time of these.
